Our next scheduled tournament will be taking place the month of September in our “Villains Lair” Escape Room benefiting Young-Williams Animal Center. Young-Williams is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving Knoxville TN and Knox County. They are dedicated to the sheltering and placement of animals and general animal welfare and are an open-intake facility and care for more than 10,000 fur babies annually.
Young-Williams Animal Center also has an aggressive spay/neuter program and since 2007 has spayed and neutered more than 81,000 dogs and cats. Their Spay/Neuter Solutions offers low-cost options and convenient access to services via both a Clinic located at 6400 Kingston Pike and their Spay Shuttle that makes regular visits to different areas in the community.

Winners will be determined by quickest escape time with the least amount of hints.
You can buy your teams tickets using the button below. Make sure once you purchase your teams ticket that you CONTACT US to schedule your escape.
Each team must have a minimum of two players and can have up to ten players.
At the end of the tournament, the fastest team to escape with the least amount of hints will win $1000.00, Second place team will receive $500.00 and third place will receive $300.00. Each team can split up their winnings as they see fit.
The Tournament will run every day as specified on the booking page through the month of September 2019
The judges (game masters) will record all completion times and number of hints given for every attempt. At the end of the tournament, the judges will review the records (or “the data”) to determine the winners. All decisions by the judges are final.
Tournament Entry Fees
Minimum of 2 people and maximum of 10 people per team.
$200.00 team entry fee covers teams of 5 – 6 people and their T-SHIRTs. You can add additional members by adding them to your shopping cart or by contacting us. This fee will cover their admisssion and their T-SHIRT.

Accepting registrations now through the end of August 2019. Additional registrations will be accepted afterwards but beginning September 1st all remaining open slots will be made available for regular games as well.
Will we get a T-Shirt for participating?
Yes. T-SHIRTs are included in the teams $200.00 admission cost for up to 6 people. There will be a $45.00 fee for each member of your team over the original six that will cover their admission & T-Shirt. Make sure to CONTACT US after purchasing your teams tickets and provide T-SHIRT sizes.
Will we be competing against employees or their families?
No. Employees of Escape Game Knoxville, and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
ID’s will be checked, and names verified for participants of the tournament. Participants must be at least 8 years of age to participate in the tournament. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult of 21 years or older. Cash prizes will only be handed to an adult 21 years or older in your team.
Should we show up early for our reservation?
Yes. Please try to show up at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled booking so that we can have time to verify your team and go over rules etc.
What if we have a scheduled time but are running late?
If you were running late to get to a movie, do you think the theater will delay the showing for you? Chances are that unless you are the owner of the theater, they would not. We are a live event and as such we have very little time to work with. We do understand that life happens. We really do; therefore, delays will be handled on a case by case basis. However, we cannot allow your running late to cause a domino effect for other bookings after you. If you are more then 15 minutes late, we will work with you as best we can to reschedule your booking.
Will the room be changed any during the tournament?
Yes. Every Sunday morning several of the puzzles will be changed or replaced by other puzzles. The room will however keep its original theme.
Can someone enter multiple times?
No, every person who enters can only belong to one team. However, teams can enter one time per week each week of the event based on room availability.
If a team enters several times how will that team be scored?
If a team enters multiple times that teams quickest time will be used as their score.
How will clues affect your score?
No more than 3 clues given per game. Each clue adds 3 minutes to your time. (i.e. Your team escapes the room in 45 minutes and 31 seconds, but you asked for one clue. Your time will be adjusted to 48 minutes, 31 seconds)
What happens if there is a tie?
In the unlikely event that there is a tie for 1st, 2ndor 3rdplace, the affected teams will have the option of voting for splitting the prize. If the affected teams cannot agree to splitting the prize, a rematch with no entry fee and no clues given will be scheduled in another room of the Game Masters choice. The team that either escapes first or solves the most puzzles with no help would win.
How will we be able to keep up with who is in the lead while the tournament is going on?
Updates will be posted in FB & a few other social media sites.
Can we add more people to our team after we already registered?
Yes, each team can have up to 10 members. It is best if all members get booked at the same time as one booking but other members can be added prior to your entering the game. The additional team members can show up with you and be added or they can call us at 865-279-6181 and we can assist in adding your additional team members to your team. Make sure to provide the correct team name when adding additional people to your current team.
How will we know if we won?
Winners will be posted on our Facebook page and other social media sites asking you to contact us. If that approach fails, we will call you.
What can I bring into the event?
No restrictions on what you bring to the event other than recording devices. No recording devices will be allowed. You will be provided a place to store your items like cell phones, purses, jackets etc. inside the escape room.
Are cell phones allowed inside the room?
All cell phones should be turned off and placed inside the basket provided in the room. The games will be monitored. Use of cell phones or other electronic devices during the game is cause for immediate disqualification.

What’s the refund policy?
You may contact us to reschedule your reservation. We will work with you as best we can to reschedule within remaining slots. Otherwise all sales are final.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

The information on the ticket should match the person who attends.
Can we use a promo code for this event?
No promo codes or other discounts can be applied for this event. They can however be used for practice runs prior to the event.
Will someone who has already played your escape room have an advantage over others that have not?
The person that has already played our game could be more familiar with the room, then someone that has not played the room. However, we will be changing and replacing puzzles prior to the event and every Sunday during the event.
Can we do practice runs prior to the tournament?
Yes, practice runs will make you more familiar with the room, however we will be changing and replacing puzzles in the room prior to the tournament and every Sunday during the tournament.
What promo codes can we use if we want to do a practice run prior to the actual tournament?
We will provide a practice run promo code that will give $7.00 off per person in your team upon request. The code issued to your team will be unique and will only be able to be used one time. The team must already be registered for the tournament before the promo code can be issued.
Can a practice run be considered an entry in the tournament and the score counted?
No. Practice runs are exactly that, practice runs.
What if we are already registered for the tournament and want to do a practice run but we cannot get it scheduled due to timing conflicts?
Practice runs just like entries into the tournament will be scheduled on a first come first served basis. Practice runs are not a requirement. However, if you decide to do one you will need to schedule your practice time as quickly as possible within the booking times that are available at that time.
Will there be other tournaments?
Short answer, yes. We are in the planning stage of having tournaments in our other rooms as well. More information on this will be made available as it becomes available.
Can participants of this tournament get discounts on future tournaments?
This is currently being considered.
Can we post reviews of the tournament?
While reviews are always welcome, we would prefer that everyone wait until after the tournament is over to post any reviews pertaining to the tournament. We would also hope that the reviewer gives us a chance to right any wrongs prior to giving us a 3 or less star review.
By purchasing your tickets you agree that the organizer reserves the right to cancel events wholly or in part in case of an insufficient number of participants, program cancellations, organizational reasons, force majeure or other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the event impossible and/or not worthwhile or that would lead to the organizer incurring unreasonable expenses in executing the event. The organizer shall immediately inform participants of such changes.
Should an event be cancelled by the organizer for organizational reasons or as a result of force majeure, as outlined above, the organizer will refund the event fee in full minus Event Brite fees. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded. Participants may not assert any further claims and any such claims shall be excluded. This also applies to compensation claims for travel and accommodation costs and lost working hours.
